Glenda Eaton
Hi, I’m Glenda Eaton and my position at Street Farm Dental Studio is ‘Dental Care Nurse’. My role involves greeting the patient, ensuring they have a smooth journey whilst in the surgery and soothing any anxieties before treatment begins as well as ensuring the surgery is clean and instruments are sterilised at all times. I also overview the Dentists’ diary to ensure it is managed efficiently and am responsible for all work sent to the relevant laboratories.
Before joining the Studio I built up a wealth of experience in many areas, ranging from a Professional Ice Skater where I joined an Ice Show and toured the Caribbean Islands to working for an Aviation Loss Adjusters reporting on commercial air disasters (probably one of the underlying reasons why I choose to holiday in England!). However, more recently and for the past 20 years I have managed a successful chain of Italian Restaurants, Wine Bars and Nightclubs within South-East Essex. It was during my years in the catering trade that I learned many skills - speaking Italian was one of them, together with accounting, advertising, health & hygiene control, organising functions and general management of the business and staff.
When I am away from work I take on another role as a Lead Vocalist & Bass Player in my band, we have been working together for thirteen years and seven years ago opened our own Recording Studio. This is an area I am very proud of as only recently one of the CD’s we produced and recorded was listed as one of Amazon’s top sellers!
So why did I make the move to Street Farm? Well, firstly I have been a patient at this practice for over forty years, so naturally I believe in everything the Studio stands for. It was always apparent whilst I was a patient that everyone worked together as a team and were passionate about their work, and secondly, it isn’t that far removed from the restaurant trade – my aim stays the same, to ensure customers/patients leave with a smile on their face!
