Dr Gohil has just completed a Masterclass in Surgical Anatomy at the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons at Lincoln’s Inn Field, which is part of a 1 year programme in Surgical Implant Dentistry.
Dr Gohil was taught in very small groups all about the exact anatomy related to surgical implant placement and the important vessels and nerve structures to make surgery predictable and safe for his patients.

We are very proud to announce the addition of two very accomplished and extremely gifted Dentists to Street Farm Dental Studio. Dr Mohsin Ali and Dr Zaneev Shirodkar have completed their VT training and will now embark on a long and established career in general dentistry.
Both our young talented Dentists will be starting their patient list in the first week of September and so will be able to see new patients at the Studio.

Make sure your dentist knows before the treatment how you feel. Visit us beforehand and ask any; and as many questions that you wish, we will be more than happy to help. We will provide you of a detailed step by step guide of exactly what the procedure involves, so that you can mentally prepare yourself beforehand and do not get any nasty surprises during the treatment.
There are many ways that you can distract yourself away from the surgery during treatment. At SFDS, we play soothing music to relax our patients anyway, but you could take a personal music player to play whatever you wish to take your mind off the treatment. You could also try to concentrate on relaxing each body part in turn and try to focus your mind on other things, such as something in the future which you are looking forward to. Our resident orthodontic expert, Dr Vijay Gohil attended the ‘Excellence in Orthodontics’ course in Central London over the last weekend.
The course is run by specialists in orthodontics sharing their knowledge in the field of Damon Braces and other techniques. Dr Gohil was one of a few dentists able to attend the course which is now running for the 25th year!!! Dr Gohil will now be offering Insignia for his patients at Street Farm Dental Studio.

Myth: When I go to the dentist I have no way of knowing what is going on, and have no control whatsoever.
Fact: This is a common source of fear for people who are nervous about visiting the dentist. Before you undergo any dental treatment you can make pre visits to your dentist and ask them to explain in detail about the procedure that you are going to undertake. We will be more than happy to help, and we can even explain what we are doing whilst carrying out the surgery itself. This is no trouble to the dentist and they will gladly help you in this way. After all, it is you that is having the treatment, and you have the right to know!
Myth: The dentist does not have time for people who are nervous like me and who need a lot of encouragement and support whist having treatment.
Fact: All our Dentists at Street Farm are specially trained to support and work with patients who are obviously nervous about undergoing treatment, and will have done so on numerous occasions. There is no need to think that you are making you dentist’s job harder than it needs to be as this is in fact part of their job, and they are there to make sure you feel comfortable and happy with your treatment!
Wisdom teeth are the last molars on each side of the jaws. They are also the last teeth to emerge, or erupt, usually when a person is between 16 and 20.
Since wisdom teeth are the last permanent teeth to come in, or erupt, there is often not enough room left in your mouth to accommodate them. This can lead to wisdom teeth that are impacted, teeth that are trapped beneath the gum tissue by other teeth or bone. If teeth are impacted, swelling and tenderness may occur.
Wisdom teeth that only partially emerge or come in crooked can also lead to painful crowding and disease. Since teeth removed before age 20 have less developed roots and fewer complications, we recommend that people between 16 and 19 have their wisdom teeth evaluated to see if they need to be removed.
