Implants

Losing a tooth can have several consequences – it can affect your confidence due to a change in your appearance and your function – affecting your ability to chew adequately. Many often miss the pleasure of a beautiful smile or biting into their favourite foods.

Some can be even self conscious about eating or speaking in public. When the root of a tooth is lost, the jaw bone can recede causing remaining teeth to move which can affect your chewing ability even further and sometimes can lead to muscle pain and headaches.

Dental Implants can be used to replace missing teeth serving as a secure root for a new tooth or teeth restoring appearance or function. They are titanium rods shaped like screws which are surgically placed into the jawbone with precision and used as anchors for bridges, dentures or crowns.

These are secured to the implant to create or maintain the contour and colour of your new or existing teeth providing you with a more stable and stronger solution akin to your natural teeth. They may sometimes be suitable for people who cannot use removable dentures.
