Dr Vijay Gohil graduated from Turner Dental School, Manchester University in 1999 and became a member of the British Dental Association (BDA) and registered with the General Dental Council (GDC). After completing a Vocational Training Year he had the pleasure of joining Street Farm Dental studio whereby in 2004 he became one of the principal owners of the studio undertaking all aspects of dental treatment and specialising in Cosmetic and Orthopaedic/Orthodontic treatments, with a special interest in treating patients with dental fears, phobias and anxiety.
Dr Vijay Gohil has a caring, ethical and professional approach to his dentistry treating his patients how he himself would like to be treated. Dr Vijay Gohil is a dedicated and committed life long learner who is very passionate about his dentistry. His high standards are reflected in the superior courses that he attends on a regular basis both nationally and internationally. No stone is unturned when it comes to updating his knowledge on the latest materials and techniques in order to offer the high class service to his patients.
In 2002, Dr Vijay Gohil completed a Diploma in Restorative Dentistry at the world famous Eastman Dental Institute and is currently undertaking an MSc in this field. He has since attended numerous courses of an extremely high standard, recently including the world famous American Dr David Hornbrook for the provision of high quality long lasting veneers and occlusion based dentistry. For several years Dr Vijay Gohil has had a special interest in providing orthodontic and orthopaedic treatment for adults and children with top success rates, his knowledge and experience allowing him to accept referrals from other dental practices in Essex. He is especially proficient in using the new invisible braces systems, Invisalign, Clearstep, and Perfect Clear so his patients have the pleasure of having their teeth straightened without anyone ever knowing!.
Dr Vijay Gohil was appointed a member of the LDC (Local Dental Committee) many years ago, which helps to promote excellent standards of care to patients in the local area and he is also the BDA (British Dental Association) secretary for South Essex.
His passion for personal development resulted in Dr Vijay Gohil attending the Mastery University Programme in the Anthony Robbins teaching Academy where he now acts as a Senior Leader in these seminars. He has excellent communication skills with special qualities at putting his patients at ease. His need to understand his patients even further led Dr Vijay Gohil to specialise in treating patients with dental fear, anxiety, and phobias. He has learnt the behavioural and psychological aspects of human thought processes and actions and Dr Vijay Gohil has helped numerous patients to achieve pain-free and anxiety free dentistry. Since 2004, he became a Master Practitioner in NLP, Hypnotherapy, Time Line Therapy and Temporal Dynamics. He now teaches his competent skills to other dentists around the country, lectures, writes dental articles and runs seminars to help other dentists effectively treat their patients with the same approach. Recently, Dr Vijay Gohil had the privilege of speaking at the IAAFA 2007 Annual Conference and will be conducting workshops and seminars in the 2008 Conferences.
