Your dentist is responsible for making sure that you are happy with the dental care that you receive. You will normally see the same dentist at every visit however on some occasions, emergencies during holiday periods for example; it may be necessary for you to receive care from a colleague.
The cost of your first examination is £48. A full screening x-ray may also need to be taken and the cost for this will be £40. After this regular examinations cost £22.
We always try to arrange appointments at a time convenient to our patients. However, please bear in mind early morning, late evening and Saturdays are often in great demand and you may have to wait several weeks before we can offer you one of those times. If you have made an appointment which you subsequently find you cannot keep, please give as much notice as possible so we can give the appointment to another patient who may need to see us at short notice. If you give us less than 48 hours’ notice or fail to attend, a minimum charge of £40 may be made, based on the length of the booked appointment time.
It is our practice policy to give patients full information about the cost of their dental care before any treatment is undertaken and a written treatment plan will be provided. We will ask you to sign a copy of the plan to confirm you have received and understand it. It does not mean you agree to have all the treatment.
We try to make payments as straightforward as possible for our patients. Our normal practice policy is that patients are asked to pay the costs for each visit on the day of their appointment. You may pay for your dental care by cash, credit or debit card or banker’s order. Payment plans are also available please ask if this is of interest.
If you find that you have a dental emergency during normal surgery hours you should contact the practice and we will give advice and make arrangements for you to be seen as quickly as possible. If the emergency occurs when the practice is closed, you should telephone 01708 853019 and listen to the instructions given. We will ensure that, where appropriate, you are seen as quickly as possible.
We will of course do our very best to provide you with a high standard of dental care and we are always very interested in what you think of our services. If you do feel that you have cause for complaint, then we would encourage you to raise it with Iain Rider our Practice Manager. We have a procedure, which aims to resolve any concerns to our patients’ complete satisfaction within the shortest possible time. Alternatively we can give you details of external agencies to contact if you require further assistance.
