A.L.F. Therapy
We have been using ALF therapy for over 15 years in our studio with amazing results. It is an appliance worn on the inside of your teeth, which over time will move teeth and alignment of bones. A.L.F is Advanced Lightwire Fuctionals and developed in the early 1980's has been used:
- Align teeth and improve the bite with traditional braces. It is worn on the inside of the teeth which makes it practically invisible.
- It aligns bone mis-alignments and changes muscle function to achieve stable results. It is very comfortable and can be worn by adults and children.
- It can help patients with chronic fatigue, headaches, neck and shoulder pain.
- It uses a very light force to applied to the maxilla, mandible and the teeth. It can be used in conjunction with Cranial Osteopathy.
- It has superior aesthetics and much more comfortable than other orthopaedic appliances.
- It needs limited adjustments and studio visits. Adjustments are needed every 6-8 weeks.
- Very little tooth pain as the tooth movement is slow and constant.
- As it is a removable appliance, oral hygiene is easy to maintain and with no adverse effects on the gums.
- It can be used in before Clear Braces to reduce the time needed in Invisalign, sometimes by 6-8 months.
