Damon Braces
Damon Braces are at the forefront of fixed brace therapy in the world. They are based on the same principles of brackets and wires but because they are cutting edge technology it gives the ultimate in results. Damon braces have been used in America for the last 15 years and in the United Kingdom since 2000.
How does it work?
The Damon system is available with both Metal and Tooth coloured ceramic brackets. They are custom made and have a sliding gate mechanism that holds the wire in place in the bracket. Each bracket is individually designed to get the tooth into the ideal position and hence give the best smile available in Orthodontics. The wire system involves around 4-5 wires changes every 10 - 12 weeks. Most cases at Street Farm are finished in around 6-8 months; more challenging cases can take between 15 - 18 months. Because of the way the system is designed there is virtually no pain especially with the wire changes.
