Inman Aligner
How does it work?
The Inman Aligner is a removable brace that is specifically constructed to fit around the crooked teeth to bring them into line with the others. It consists of a special spring loaded mechanism that pulls in and pushes out teeth into the ideal alignment. As with any brace, the Inman will take a while to get used to.
How long does it take to straighten my teeth?
Our specially trained dentists will assess you, take X-rays to make sure your teeth are healthy and can be moved with the brace, and also take impressions of your teeth to measure the movements needed. This process takes about 15-20 minutes.
Once established that you are a suitable candidate for the Inman Aligner, we will give you all the information required for you to make a decision about the treatment. After you receive the Inman Aligner, we will show you exactly how to use it and look after the brace and we assess our patients every 2-4 weeks. If you wear the brace for as long as possible, around 20 hours per day , most cases can be finished between 12-16 weeks!!!!
The brace should not be worn whilst eating and also removed to clean both morning and evening. Also try to avoid drinking hot drinks whilst the Inman brace system is in place.
If you are going out for the evening or have an important meeting, you can remove the Inman. As long as it is not out of your mouth for too long the system works well.
If you are not suitable for an Inman Brace system, we shall inform you and give you alternative options.
